I saw the sunrise this morning. Totally didn’t mean to! But there is this thing called daylight savings time–it makes my whole family stumble around for a whole week. And for me, it gives me the opportunity to see God’s beauty. That is the ONLY good quality I can see about daylight savings time.
We celebrated my dear friend Joanne’s birthday (early!) on Saturday. It was a delightful time with friends, who love Joanne like crazy. Some even drove a long distance to come and take part. The neatest thing was that Joanne and her mom separately picked the same painting. Here they are smiling and enjoying one another. It was a wonderful time!
Finally, it’s that time of year again. Women’s retreat is fast approaching and this will be my final year to lead crafts (at least for a time). I found all my ideas on Pinterest, which is such a fantastic tool for creativity.
One of the projects I have chosen is so very cool, I’m afraid I might not have enough for all who want to do it. For $2.75 each I purchased the materials–these completed boards are $30 and up on Etsy!
Also I’m speaking in a break out session about this… Life in the Margin: Making Room and Hearing God. Will you pray that I bring a message to these ladies that will prompt their obedience to give up some things that take them away from God’s best? –Things like social media, but not really limited to that. I am anticipating His Words for their hearts!
PS Thank you for your prayers! The first week of homeschooling went splendidly. The grocery shopping trip, however, did not. Ha!
